Double Exposure
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Erin Darabondi's surreal photography served as an inspiration for your artistic career. You were thrilled, then, when you were selected to be one of two artists permitted to work in her old studio, and to produce new works inspired by her.
Your fellow grant winner seems a bit more interested in digging up the truth about Erin's mysterious disappearance. You'd rather focus on your art.
Until that quickly becomes impossible...
In Erin's darkroom, photos don't stay still. Whether by magic or something darker, they reveal their secrets. Conversations never meant to be heard. Hidden things, dangerous things, all exposed in your development bath.
And then the nightmares start. The visions. There is always a cost to playing with forces you do not understand. The more you dig deep, the more you learn what cost Erin paid. The question is, what cost are you paying?
By imprinting a second image over a partially developed photo, you can create a new image. Choose what leads you think are important to pursue and how far to pursue them. You're not just limited by what actually happened in the past.
Original soundtrack! Spooky photo development effects! Visions from beyond! A whole lotta love and care for a one-month project!
